ATLANTA SOCIAL SEASON MAGAZINE
is a publication that was started by Gloria Lane, a former news
anchor at WSB-TV. It serves as a clearinghouse for more than 200
organizations, who coordinate the scheduling of major corporate
events and charitable functions through the magazine. Because Season
is a quarterly, each issue is heavily used for a three-month time
period.
Atlanta Social Season circulates
around the Southeast and beyond, enjoying heavy exposure in the
metro Atlanta market where it's available through numerous retail
venues as well as on the newsstands. The city's spending power is
enormous, with an estimated 55% of all retail sales and services
coming from Atlanta residents and 45% from visitors living 200 miles
or more outside the metro area. Atlanta Social Season is also distributed
at Atlanta's plethora of mega malls, frequented by 51 million shoppers
annually. It is additionally used by major real estate companies
and agents to promote their listings and direct newcomers to some
of the city's best resources.
With half of the country's population
residing in 14 Southern states – concentrated predominantly
in Georgia, Florida and Texas – Atlanta Social Season Magazine
is a strong selling tool for advertisers, both locally and nationally.
In fact, 90% of advertisers sign up for all four issues, year after
year.
