The 60th annual Legacy Awards will be held this year on September 10th, in intimate dinner parties across the city, while enjoying excellent cuisine and wine pairings and watching the virtual event being live-streamed from the beautiful St. Regis Hotel. Arthur M. Blank will serve as Honorary Chair.
The Legacy Awards honors community leaders for their outstanding contributions to metro Atlanta. This they’re specifically honoring those who have provided extraordinary service to the community during the COVID-19 crisis. Big congratulations to Jasmine Crowe of Goodr, Randall Tanner of Tanner, Ballew, and Maloof, and Dr. Monica Khan, MD.
Veronica Oladeji, Director of Special Events, shared “I am very excited about this year’s Legacy Awards Gala. Though we have to pivot (like many) to a virtual event, we are adding a fun twist to it by asking our 60th-anniversary committee to host small groups in their respective homes.
We will be streaming the event live from the St. Regis exclusively to the homes of our sponsors and patrons across Atlanta. We are curating a program that fosters interaction, encourages fundraising, provides entertainment, serves a fine dining experience, and promotes our mission to defend the potential of Atlanta Youth.
Like many non-profits, we have experienced some challenges and financial setbacks caused by the uncertainties of Covid-19. However, we continue to overcome these challenges by finding creative ideas and local partnerships to strengthen us in this time of need.”
Would you rather watch from home? That’s an option, too, and each ticket includes a meal from an upscale restaurant ordered through Door Dash, raffle drawing entry, and a fun, virtual party. Tickets for the virtual event can be purchased at bbbsatl.org.legacyathome.
