Serving contemporary, Asian-influenced fare, Bluepointe is known for its dramatic décor, lively lounge and flavorful, exciting cuisine. Since opening in 1999, the restaurant has earned “Best New Restaurant” awards from Esquire, Gourmet and USA Today. It consistently ranks among the highest for food, décor and popularity in the Atlanta Zagat Survey.

Head chef Doug Turbush, whose training includes a degree from the esteemed Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, and extensive culinary experience in Bangkok, Thailand, is a particularly good fit for the post at Bluepointe, says Pano Karatassos, president and founder of Buckhead Life Restaurant Group.

“Chef Doug has an unmatched passion and talent for Asian flavors,” Karatassos said. “He is disciplined, creative and consistently creates exciting, flavorful cuisine. I am thrilled to have him lead the kitchen at Bluepointe.”

Turbush has been part of the Buckhead Life culinary team since 1999. He served on Bluepointe’s opening team and as executive chef at Nava, where he earned great acclaim. Furthermore, he travels to Thailand annually with his wife, originally from Thailand, to visit family and to research food trends.

“Bluepointe represents a new era in my culinary career," Turbush said, "a chance to marry the flavors I worked with in Asia with contemporary presentations.”
