Tucked away in Woodstock’s historic district, Tea Leaves & Thyme is the perfect place to enjoy a hot cup of tea. Proprietor Kim Jordy sets a charming table in a converted early 20th century house, far removed from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Patrons are invited to dress for the occasion, whether it be a ladies' luncheon or afternoon tea party. The restaurant itself boasts a collection of vintage hats, stoles and scarves, as well as "tea time" dresses and lace gloves for young ladies to borrow. The menu features an impressive selection of classic and exotic teas (over 50 varieties from which to choose) and a delectable assortment of finger foods, from cucumber sandwiches and Amaretto cream scones to tartlets and mini desserts. There's also salad, quiche and croissants. Adding to the ambiance, a lovely gift shop offers porcelain tea cups and dolls, table linens, stationery and more. Reservations are recommended. 770/516-2609
