“Bring on the Botox, Restylane and the anything else ya got (non-surgical) because I’m afraid of the knife,” says Joy. In her delightful self-effacing style she adds, “Just for the record, I’m not here for my beauty, but for my longevity.” The fact is that Joy and her daughter Eve both have flawless complexions and everyone wants to know their secrets. She is living proof that there are plenty of things that can be done to maintain beautiful skin without the necessity of plastic surgery.
Joy comes by her love of style, fashion and beauty secrets naturally. “My mother used Ponds Cold Cream by the gallon. She raised me to always take care of my face and many habits started years ago have proven to be timeless truths in skincare.”
ABOVE RIGHT: Joy has a wonderful way of going through life. She finds humor in everyday events and has a positive spin on life. She is perfectly qualified to promote beautiful skin because this funny, attractive, sexy and clever comic truly knows the secrets of beautiful skin, which she learned from her mother and has passed on to her daughter.
I WAS DYING TO ASK JOY HOW SHE MET BARBARA WALTERS
Before we got down to the nitty gritty of skin health, I wanted to know how this New York comedienne first met Barbara Walters and landed as a co-host on The View. After all, The View has become one of the highest rated daytime television talk shows where millions of women tune in to watch these diverse, fascinating, smart and often very funny ladies discuss any and all topics that are tossed around the panel in front of a live studio audience. With Barbara Walters at the helm, The View is a bonified winner which has shot Joy into national stardom.
“My agent booked me to perform at Milton Berle’s 88th birthday party at the Waldorf. I was so busy with so many projects that I didn’t have time to be nervous about the audience which was wall-to-wall ‘A’ list celebrities including Barbara Walters. I was on top of my game, really hilarious and everybody was laughing, except Barbara Walters!” Joy continues, “Barbara seemed to really be staring, almost as if she was studying me, but didn’t seem to find me very funny. I thought to myself she’s a world-class newswoman and certainly one of my heroes, so maybe comedy just isn’t her thing. A few weeks later I was blown away when I got the call that Barbara Walters wanted to see me. Little did I know at the time she was in the earliest planning stages for The View and was gathering her diverse panel of women from all ages, backgrounds and points of view and she wanted me to be part of it.”

JOY AND DR. BRANDT
Joy first met Dr. Fredric Brandt when he was a guest on The View. She was so enthralled with all the wonderful information that he shared, that Joy and her daughter Eve, quickly became Dr. Brandt’s patients. It was natural attrition for Dr. Brandt to pursue these vibrant women to promote his wonderful new line of skincare in a nationwide promotional tour called Mother-Daughter Beauty Secrets Through The Decades.
Dr. Brandt’s skincare is the new high-end pharmaceutical line of products designed for daily use to rejuvenate your face as part of the skincare regime. It includes Crease Release, Microdermabrasion in a Jar, a Peptide cream (to encourage the production of collagen), as well as cleanser and vitamin C, all topically applied as part of a daily routine.
“There’s no such thing as growing old gracefully unless you die young.”
